In 2005, artist Hery Kustriyatmo initiated art activities with local children along the Sempor River in Kembang Arum. The enthusiasm from both participants and their parents highlighted the village’s potential as a tourist destination. Collaborating with the community,

Hery transformed Kembang Arum from an underdeveloped area into a vibrant tourism village, emphasizing educational and cultural experiences. Today, visitors can engage in traditional Javanese arts, participate in educational workshops, and immerse themselves in the daily life of the local community.
